When KFXM went on strike in late 1968, instead of becoming a replacement deejay (crossing the picket line) as one of the Jones Boys, Radio 59's Jonny Bruce became JOHN BRUCE and instead jumped over to spin Country music at Pomona's KWOW 1600 AM.After the strike ended, Bruce went BACK to KFXM as "Jonny Bruce" best known for his "center square" position on the KFXM folders.
