103.1 in both Santa Monica and Costa Mesa are simulcast as "El Gato" ("The Cat") playing all-Spanish, ALL-the time.The current calls are KDLE (Santa Monica) and KLDE (Costa Mesa) , which will probably change.
Note:
In late 1977, KGFJ changed their calls to KKTT ("The Cat"), but even EARLIER in the 1960s, the Southland had KITT, a beautiful music FM (licensed to San Diego) that used a stylized cat, very similar to the one displayed here, in their logo and "mascot."
