147KXOA.com

On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, get ready for a new internet channel, 147KXOA.com which "revives" and brings back the long-defunct legendary 1470/KXOA, a once-upon-a-time AM top 40 powerhouse in Sacramento CA, except THIS revival of KXOA will be an oldies mix programmed by 35-year radio veteran Greg Mitchell (formerly KFXM-AM, etc.)

Our site consulting advisor, Bill Earl (formerly KXOK/Manteca as "Phil Heron", KFXM-FM as "Big Bad Bill", ErrorFM.com, KPCS-FM) has been signed to do some jocking on KXOA, once the "curtain opens" on the station scheduled for the early afternoon of Wednesday July 15, 2009.

KXOA will also be bringing back the popular "bear" mascot logo, used by 1470 AM KXOA in 1963, created by the same artist that created that same bear mascot for the old Bear Wheel Alinement company of the 1940s (still seen in mostly rusted shape outside garages on the highways of America) , and also on an Allan Sherman LP from 1963, and CD box set a few years ago.

For more information on KXOA, please check out their website at http://www.147kxoa.com/.

Test promo advertisements for KXOA were recently displayed on this site (some of you have wondered just where did they go?) but were removed because the promotion of the station is still being fine tuned and "audience tested" as it was briefly here.
